LEATHER CARE TIPS
The 5 Golden Steps to keep your freejump footwear nice, clean and for longer!
1. GOOD CLEANING HABITS
Extend the durability of your freejump footwear and preserve its main qualities – comfortable, waterproof and beautiful.
2. FREQUENCY
It is recommended that you clean your shoes and chaps as much as necessary. They need to look nice everyday.
3. FRESH WATER
Use fresh water to humidify your sponge and apply it on your shoes and chaps.
4. LEATHER CREAM
Apply a leather cream to nourish and protect the leather from humidity (why not try FreeJump FreeWax).
5. POLISH
Finally, by using an old rag, towel or a polishing brush you can give them a burst of extra shine!
Never use glycerine soap on your shoes and chaps because you will not get rid of the dust that therefore stagnates in the creases of your shoes and chaps – running water is the only thing you need. If possible, try not to wear your freejump footwear two days in a row and rotate with another pair in order to allow the shoes to dry out before wearing them again.

Just a normal day in the Amira Equi office…
Winston vs. Rafael
Rafael wins!
This week we had a special visitor in the office… a little Robin!
After flying in through an open door, the little bird happily set up camp in the packing room.
Despite our various attempts to lure the Robin out (including using cereal as bribery), the bird stayed hidden away for 2 hours!
Finally, Managing Director Ib managed to free the bird, and business resumed as normal.
Our Operations Manager Kathryn recently suffered a fall from her horse, Finnoula whilst out eventing at Milton Keynes Event Centre in the BE100 class. Kathryn was seconds away from achieving a double clear, with a great dressage score of 32.5/67.5%.
On the last cross country jump, Kathryn and Finnoula jumped slightly to the left leaving them landing too close to the course boundary rope. Just meters from the finish, her horse swerved to avoid the rope… and Kathryn fell! Despite an elegant dismount, summersaulting and landing on her feet, Kathryn still managed to obtain a serious injury. One dislocated and broken ankle later…
After having surgery on her ankle, Kathryn is now recovering well with her leg in a plaster cast. She is looking forward to having the cast removed and replaced with a more comfortable protective boot. Despite being on crutches, Kathryn has still managed to visit Finnoula regularly at her yard. Finnoula avoided any injuries, and even finished through the line happily on her own!
